GO No. 13
So, my Aunt came home and the first thing she did was shout at my cousin. She was rambling:
A. Why was Anjie's room untidy when Benz' room was clean
(okay, first of all, though it's true that Anjie's room wasn't finished cleaning yet, it's not like Benz was the one who cleaned his room!!! someone else did it for him. Does Aunt Jeck really need to point out that Benz is a lot better?!))
B. Since there has been no water running for a few days now, Anjie and I took a bath using the water in the drums. But my aunt scolded us why we used that water. and she was ranting that we were wasting water.
(Duuuh!!! the whole purpose of that water was for cleaning ourselves and washing! and now she's mad?! what should we have done? not take a bath? then what? she'd scold us for that as well!))
C. She keeps on making either Anjie or me do the dishes. which I really have no problem with. My cousin's and I had a deal that we would take turns in washing, but recently, I've been doing all the washing. The sad part? She only acknowledges Benz' work. She praises him while Anjie gets all the scolding.
Seriously, for the time I've been living here, it's been very evident that my Aunt and Uncle favor their son more that their daughter. I mean, what is up with that? Can't they treat their children equally? Anjie has cried and complained a lot about that to me..I really can't blame her. I feel sad for her. Having your parents treat you like that? And having your sibling be the favorite? That's harsh. And even though how much I want to say something, I can't. I don't have the place nor the authority to say anything. With how stubborn and unreasonable my Aunt is? It's hopeless reasoning with her. I just hope that they realize what their doing. Or else, for sure, their daughter will grow very distant from them, until the time comes when she's already unreachable...
As for me, all I can do for now is observe and stick to my rule..
